Julien Louvier Legrand

Julien Louvier Legrand develops a visual language that blends experimental photography with digital compositions, creating a space where narrative depth, social and environmental engagement intersect. From childhood, he was immersed in eclectic artistic influences ranging from René Magritte to Robert Doisneau, and Enki Bilal to Charlélie Couture and graffiti artist Mod 2. His creative process is underpinned by rigorous technical skills gained through a six-year course in graphic design and visual communication, as well as professional experience in agencies that refined his understanding of visual perception.

Julien brings an artisanal dimension to his work through collage and digital montage. His photography combines realistic image-making with experimental deconstruction: using a minimalist smartphone, he captures urban landscapes that often undergo radical post-production—including color layering, motion blur, digital cropping, and light painting.

As a person with a physical disability, Julien advocates for an inclusive practice, transforming his condition into a creative lever to raise awareness about diversity issues. He is equally committed to sustainability, prioritizing eco-friendly printing materials and aiming for complete energy self-sufficiency for his creative tools. Open to collaborative projects and performances, he plans to dedicate a portion of his income to social, environmental, and animal welfare causes.
