Artist about this artwork
The artwork titled "Cream" encapsulates an age-old parable, beloved in Russia. It narrates the tale of two frogs that found themselves in a jar filled with cream. One of the frogs, deeming the situation futile, surrendered and sank to the bottom.
The other frog, however, harbored the belief that there was always time to succumb and, with unwavering determination, struggled to the last, vigorously floundering. As her strength waned, an unexpected sensation met her, the ground beneath her feet had solidified. The cream had transformed into butter through the frog's relentless paddling! With this newfound foundation, she pushed herself up using the whipped butter and leaped out of the jar to freedom. This parable imparts a vital lesson: never relinquish to indolence or adverse circumstances, even when victory appears as a distant mirage.
