Wood, mixed technique · Russia

In medieval legend, the unicorn is a sacred creature resembling a horse with a horn on its forehead and a goat-like beard. The horse symbolizes strength, the horn represents a weapon, and the beard signifies wisdom. It is destined to protect the purity of a young maiden.

The unicorn sits on its haunches, gazing at its reflection in a mirror, attempting to decipher its destiny, much like a woman observing her fleeting beauty in a mirror.
