Abstract painting always allows the freedom to imagine a story for a painting. Here, we reach the limits of abstraction, as the evocation of people, buildings (or megaliths), and birds is almost tangible. The climate, say of Ireland or Brittany, is also suggested by the major hue, despite the red, which could evoke the presence of a setting sun between two masses of clouds (naturalistic version) or a fire (pessimistic version). As you can see, abstract painting allows the imagination to run wild without limits, regardless of the format, which is rather restrictive here.
