Artist about this artworkI climbed up into the mountains with my easel on my back to capture this view. "What a magnificent panorama!" I told myself upon arriving. I drew this landscape seeking to highlight the relief with its sharp shadows and pure colors. It is the height of summer, and you can almost feel the suffocating heat radiating from the limestone rocks. For me, this work represents the freedom of painting en plein air, roaming the paths that connect our Alpine villages.
