Artist about this artworkOn the kitchen table, I arranged this still life with its cascade of onions, a bottle of whiskey, and a leather-wrapped water jug, all set against a checkered woolen blanket and a white tea towel. I painted this canvas at the age of 25 as a self-taught artist.
